Boarding

Plum Creek Veterinary Hospital does provide limited boarding facilities. Our boarding services offer you the peace of mind you need when leaving your loved one in someone else's care. We have indoor, air-conditioned dog runs with windows for them to have a view of the outdoors at all times. Our feline guests are housed in a separate room in luxury “cat condos”, also with a view of the outdoors. You can watch the cats play in their boarding room through the window in the waiting area. We specialize in caring for senior pets, those currently receiving medication, and any pet in need of special medical care. Feedings are twice daily. All boarding guests are fed Hill's Science Diet at meal time, unless you provide a special diet from home. Pets' quarters are cleaned and sanitized daily or more as needed. Dogs are leash-walked in a fenced area two to three times daily.

All boarding guests must be up to date on their vaccinations in order to protect their health and the health of other guests. Dogs require legally-valid rabies vaccinations; distemper/parvovirus vaccinations conforming to our standards, and bordetella (“kennel cough”) vaccinations from within the last 6 months. Cats require legally-valid rabies vaccinations and feline distemper vaccinations (FVRCP) conforming to our standards.

We must see written documentation or have a telephone confirmation from another clinic that these vaccinations have been done and when they were performed. It is your responsibility to provide this information. Vaccinations given at home or by a breeder will not be accepted for boarding purposes. This is for the safety of your pet as well as all other pets in the facility.

Bedding, blankets, toys, food, and treats for your pets are welcome. However, Plum Creek Veterinary Hospital will not be responsible for items chewed or damaged. If bedding, blankets, or soft toys are soiled during your pets stay with us we will wash them unless told otherwise. Plum Creek Veterinary Hospital will also be happy to provide bedding if you choose or do not have anything with you.

As a courtesy to our canine guests, dogs staying 4 nights or more will receive a complimentary bath. Otherwise, baths on the final day of boarding are provided for a fee.
