Since 2010, Plum Creek Veterinary Hospital has been serving Kyle, Texas and the surrounding area with high quality medicine and compassionate care for your dogs and cats. We are a full-service small animal practice offering a range of services including preventative medicine, routine wellness care, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, oncology, in-hospital diagnostics and in-hospital pharmacy services. In addition, Plum Creek Veterinary Hospital offers indoor, air conditioned boarding for all sizes of dogs and cats with scenic views through our windows to the outside world at all times. Our hospital is centrally located between Austin and San Antonio, which offers many opportunities for referrals to boarded veterinary specialists and emergency facilities when needed.

In order to provide the best, leading-edge medicine, we strongly believe in continuing education for all team members. All team members, not just the veterinarians, are required to receive ongoing, up-to-date training in the areas of animal medicine, client and staff communication and customer service. State-of-the-art equipment

Plum Creek Veterinary Hospital utilizes the latest advanced medical technology and equipment in order to provide the best possible medical care for your pet. Our 3,557 square foot facility houses 3 standard examination rooms, a consultation/grieving room with a private entrance/exit, general treatment area, an enclosed intensive care unit, separate isolation ward, surgical suite, dentistry/special procedures suite, in-hospital diagnostic laboratory, in-hospital pharmacy, indoor kennel runs for dogs and a separate room with scenic condos for cats.

At Plum Creek Veterinary Hospital, our in-hospital laboratory equipment allows us to make timely, more accurate diagnoses by obtaining blood chemistry values and complete blood counts within minutes. We can also test for parasites, urinary tract diseases, and some infectious diseases on site. For those pets whose diagnosis is not critical or for wellness screening, we also utilize a reputable, timely third party laboratory with results generally available within 2-5 business days.

In addition, we have the latest digital radiography equipment and technology for both general and dental radiographs. This digital format allows us to acquire images in less time, refer images through the web to board-certified veterinary radiologists for second opinions when warranted, and take fewer images thereby lowering exposure of your pet and our staff to radiation. As in human dentistry, dental radiographs are a cornerstone of thorough dental preventative care and treatment. Remember, 2/3 of our dogs’ and cats’ teeth are under the gum line and cannot be viewed with the naked eye. Studies have shown that without dental radiographs, significant pathology is missed in up to 75% of pets!

We believe in better medicine and preserving the environment. To that end, we are a “paperless” veterinary hospital. We utilize ImproMed Infinity, an American Animal Hospital Association accredited veterinary practice management software solution. By managing all of our medical records and forms in a digital format, we ensure higher quality medicine by streamlining all aspects of hospitalization and treatment into one database. This provides more complete and consistent medical record keeping, accuracy in pharmaceutical prescribing, accurate treatment plans and streamlined invoicing of services rendered -- all of which equals better medicine for your beloved pet.
